Description
This Pileated Woodpecker was a busy bird pecking away at this hole in a dead birch tree. When we first came upon the tree we just heard the knocking but saw no bird. We realized they were inside the tree. Then we saw a small head sticking out of the hole. We spent quite a bit of time watching this one.
